In France with the help of the EU

This article was written by Anastasia, a student that studied in France with the help of the Erasmus+ programme.

Erasmus is by far the best experience I had during College. Even though I heard different opinions about this mobility before going, I can say that mine, was perfect in any way: financially, professionally, the free time I’ve got, friends, traveling, location and others. Small advice: don’t listen to others, it all depends on you, your experience will be unique, the way you perceive and create it.

First of all, Erasmus convinced me that nothing is impossible ( I can go anywhere and I know what to do). Initially, I thought that you need to be very smart to face these kinds of challenges (like moving to a new country) but behind this ‘illusion’ there is a very accessible reality. If you desire an adventure, this is it. Try and you may find the key to success.

Erasmus helped me move forward. From here I learned something very valuable: ‘if you have nowhere to go, just move forward’. Once you are by your own in front of ‘the new’, there is almost no way to fail, if you are responsible, you do everything right, you’ll be fine! This way you develop ‘immunity’ to the unknown.

Erasmus helped me broaden my knowledge. I spent time with people from different cultures of the world and I have learned that diversity is the nicest thing. I still keep in touch with some people I met there and I hope I can see them again, in a new mobility. Once Erasmus, always Erasmus!

Don’t forget: trying get’s you one step forward, no matter the result, thus you have nothing to lose, only to win. My main reason for trying Erasmus was time: if not now, then when?
